Cambodia Casinos

There is a captivating history to the Cambodia gambling halls that lie just over the border from nearby Thailand, in which gambling hall wagering is not allowed. Eight casinos are based in a relatively tiny area in the city of Poipet in Cambodia. This group of Cambodia casinos is in a prime destination, a three to four hour trip from Bangkok and Macao, the 2 biggest betting locations in Asia. Cambodia casinos do a huge business with Thai blue-collar workers and guests from Malaysia, Japan, South Korea, and Singapore, with only very few Westerners. The amazing capital gained from the gambling dens ranges from 7.5 million dollars to more than 12.5 million, and there are a number of limitations constraints for gambling den ownership. Ownership is required to be mainly Thai; still, funding sources are ambiguous. The borders are officially open from 9:00 a.m. to 17:00, and even though visas are apparently needed to pass, there are means around this, as is real of most borders.

The initial Cambodia gambling halls premiered in Phnom Penh in 1994, but were required to close in 1998, leaving only 1 casino in the capital, the Naga Resort. The Naga, a moored ship gambling den, features one hundred and fifty slot machines and 60 table games. The Naga river boat never closes with 42 tables of mini-punto banco, 4 tables of twenty-one, 10 of roulette, two of Caribbean Stud Poker, and one each of Pai-Gow and Tai-Sai.

The 1st gambling hall in Poipet, the Holiday Palace, premiered in 1999 and the Golden Crown before long opened. There are 150 slots and five tables at the Golden Crown and one hundred and four slot machines and sixty eight tables at the Holiday Palace. The newer Holiday Palace Casino and Resort contains three hundred slot machines and 70 gaming tables and the Princess Hotel and Casino, also in Poipet, has 166 one armed bandits and 96 table games, including eighty seven punto banco (the most popular game), Fan Tan, and Pai Gow. Additionally, there is the Casino Tropicana, with 135 one armed bandits and sixty six of the common tables, as well as one table of Casino Stud Poker. Another one of the eight gambling halls in Poipet, again a part of a hotel, is the Princess Casino with one hundred and sixty six slots and 97 table games. The Star Vegas Casino is part of a multinational vacation and hotel building that features a number of comforts aside from the gambling hall, which offers ten thousand sq.ft. of one hundred and thirty one armed bandits and 88 gaming tables.
