Also, the Ameristar Casino Hotel in Council Bluffs never closes, with 38,500 sq.ft., 1,589 slots, 36 table games, and 4 eatery’s. There are numerous other dominant Iowa gambling halls, which includes Harrah’s Council Bluffs, with 28,250 square feet, 1,212 slot machines, and 39 table games.

A tinier Iowa gambling den is the Diamond Jo, a water based gambling hall in Dubuque, with 17,813 square feet, 776 slots, and 19 table games. The Catfish Bend Riverboat, in Fort Madison, with 13,000 square feet, 535 slot machines, and 14 table games. Another Iowa river boat gambling hall, The Isle of Capri, is open 24 hours, with 24,939 sq.ft., 1,100 slot machines, and 24 table games. The Mississippi Belle II, a 10,577 square foot river boat gambling den in Clinton, has 506 slot machines, 14 table games, live entertainment, and Thursday chemin de fer matches.

Iowa casinos offer an excellent deal of tax revenue to the commonwealth of Iowa, which has permitted the funding of a good many commonwealth wide activities. Visitors have increased at a fast rate along with the request for services and a gain in working people. Iowa gambling halls have been helpful to the growth of the economy, and the enthusiasm for gaming in Iowa is widespread.
